Trademark & IP Protection
A brand name you cannot protect, or an invention disclosed before a patent filing, is value lost at the start. We make sure the name, logo, software and technology you are building on are protected in the right order, and that you claim the fee benefits available to startups and small businesses.
Types of protection
Trademark
Protects your brand name, logo and tagline for the classes of goods or services you use them for. Start with a search of the trademark register before you commit to a name.
Copyright
Protects software code, content, designs and artwork. It exists on creation, but registration gives you evidence of ownership and date.
Patent
Protects a new, inventive and industrially applicable invention. File before any public disclosure; a provisional application can secure the date while development continues.
Design registration
Protects the new shape, configuration or ornamentation of a product, such as a toy or packaging form.
Support with IP costs
- Reduced official fees: the patent and trademark fee schedules carry lower fees for startups and small entities, and DPIIT-recognised startups can use the startup IP facilitation scheme. Check the current fee schedule on the IP India portal before filing.
- UP Startup Policy 2026: reimburses patent and quality certification costs for eligible startups. See Startup UP.
- MSME Innovative (IPR) scheme: reimburses IP costs for MSMEs up to stated caps, for example ₹10,000 for a trademark, ₹1 lakh for a domestic patent and ₹5 lakh for a foreign patent. The scheme period follows MSME Champions (to 2025-26); continuation was not verified when last checked.

Trademark search, class selection and, for inventions, a view on whether to file a provisional patent now. Patent drafting is done with a registered patent agent.

Filing and ownership
Applications in the company's name, assignment deeds where founders or contractors created the IP, and a calendar for oppositions, examination replies and renewals.
