The Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY) of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries funds food processing and preservation infrastructure through component schemes. Status: PMKSY was approved for the 15th Finance Commission cycle up to 31 March 2026. The Ministry has issued calls after that date, which suggests continuation is in process, but a formal approval for the next cycle was not found when this page was last checked. Funding is available only through open EOIs.

Who it suits

  • Rice and flour mills and other processors planning new capacity (unit scheme).
  • Dairy chilling, cold storage and warehousing operators (cold chain).
  • Groups of units developing common facilities (agro-processing clusters), and food testing laboratories.

Proposals are competitive and evaluated against the EOI criteria, so the DPR, land, promoter contribution and bank appraisal usually need to be ready when the call opens. See DPRs for subsidy applications.
